It comes with all the cables you need, including a HDMI to mini HDMI cable.
I also have connected it to my Surface Go, using the Go to power the keyboard, but as a second screen to the side.

I am able to run remote desktop through dex and do all my work off my windows computer at the office just like I have a real laptop. I have a very logitech t630 ultra thin mouse, so I just use that with it instead. It's a great keyboard, and the track pad is not bad, but it is very sensitive to palms, as someone mentioned. I used with my Samsung S20 FE and ran off battery, keeping my phone charged for about 4 hours and the battery was not even 50% drained. There are spots where my surface pen will stick to it with a magnet.
It's some of plastic/polycarbonate, but it has an aluminum feel to it. I have one of these and I think they are great!
